The recovery rate for given standard therapies is less than 50 per cent.

Of course that figure in todays terms would be more like $12,500,000,000.
The tumultous task was abandoned by the Brit Govt and the United Africa Co. Land and root clearing in virgin bush land, Killer Bees and the Tsetse Fly put the boot in too.

London: Campaigners yesterday attacked "Obvious" public information posters such as a police poster urging people: "Don't Commit Crime".
The plain English campaign also highlights "Warning: Platform ends here" on rail Stations and "May cause drowsiness" on sleeping pills.
A spokesman also cited packets of nuts labelled "Warning: contains nuts," adding the "best" was a sign reading "Caution: water on road during rain".

given the choice of living in GOA

wud u rather opt for US

but where the quality of life is SHIT compared to GOA
GOA is a paradise on earth
and the living is cheap
Jim: My income is far beyond the average retirement income, so getting off my ass to work is out of the 'Q'.
Living in Goa would no doubt elevate my standard of living to filthy rich Indian standard; with a brace of flunkies thrown in to ease the pain of domestic chores.
However, having experienced that style of living both in Hong Kong and Singapore, it does not always compensate for the loss of familiar friends(I do have friends)and some amicable relatives, plus the the environment we are familiar with.
I have visited at least 78 different foriegn countries and localities; some several times and can vouch for the general opinion that the other mans grass is not always greener, then again, to return to Britain in the dead of winter after two years of sun and comfort can be awfully depressing and tends to throw that theory out of gear. My present locality on the Central Coast of New South Wales in good ole Strayer mate is the best I could wish for.
As for Goa, it is without doubt a great option for retirement but to live and work there for peanuts would be out of the Q for me, maybe a visit first hand would would give a clearer unbiased picture.
